Chicken-Tikka-Skewers

Chicken Tikka

Ingredients

  • 3 ea Chicken breast, skinless and boneless - 1" Cubes
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 ea Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger - minced
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tsp Coriander - ground
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder - mild
  • 1 pn Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Canola oil
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro - leaves finely chopped

Instructions

  • Place the chicken pieces into a bowl with yogurt, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, coriander, turmeric, cumin, paprika, chilli powder, cinnamon, salt and pepper.
  • Mix together, cover and marinate in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
  • Thread onto skewers, then brush with oil.
  • Cook on the barbecue for 8-10 minutes until cooked through. Altenaively cook on a griddle,
  • Test for doneness then serve sprinkled with Cilantro
