Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
3/4 cup Water - Luke warm
1/4 cup Sugar
1 tsp heaped Fast acting dried yeast
3 1/2 to 4 cups Flour, All purpose
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Butter unsalted Room temp and cut small
1 beaten Large Egg
1/2 cup Milk - Evaporated
1/4 cup Butter - melted
1 cup Confectioners sugar
To dip Raspberry sauce

    Combine the lukewarm water, a pinch of sugar and the yeast in a small bowl and set aside to proof for about 5 minutes. It should start to froth up a little.

    Combine 3 1/2 cups of flour, salt, 2 tbsp of butter in the bowl of your stand mixer or a large mixing bowl. Add the egg, evaporated milk and the yeast mixture and mix well with the paddle attachment until it comes together as a sticky dough ball. If necessary to get it to come together if it is too loose, add some extra flour. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with cling film or a towel and proof in a warm place for at least 2 hours and the dough has doubled in size,

    Roll the dough out to about 1/2" thickness. Cut the dough into rectangular or diamond shaped pieces. 2" x 3" should give you the 24 pieces roughly.

    Preheat your air fryer to 350ºF

    Brush both sides of the dough pieces with the melted butter and air fry in batches for 5-7 minutes. Air fryer times can vary. For a more even browning flip them over at the halfway mark. When done remove to a baking tray and dust with the confectioners sugar. Serve warm with Raspberry sauce or any dessert sauce you like.
