    Herbed Focacchia

    Ingredients

    • 3 cups Flour
    • 2 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
    • 1 1/2 tsp Active dry yeast
    • 1 1/2 cups Water, tepid 120F
    • 2 ea Garlic cloves, minced

    Instructions

    • In a large bowl, combine flour, 2 tsp of the Italian seasoning,the yeast, 1 1/4 tsp salt. Stir in the warm water until themixture is moistened. Cover bowl with cling film and let stand at rooom temperature for 2 hours.
    • Brush a 13 xx 9 inch baking pan with 2 tsp olive oil. With the help of a lightly oiled spatula gently spread the dough in the prepared pan. Use wet fingers to get the dough into the corners. Cover the pan with cling film and leave to stand at room temperature for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until it is puffy.
    • Preheat the oven to 400ºF. In a small bowl combine an additional 2 tbsp of olive oil with the remaining 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning and spread over the dough. Sprinkle with 14 tsp Kosher salt. Bake unti golden, about 25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Remove from pan and cut onto 6 pieces.
